Lilfuqara-i allatheena ohsiroofee sabeeli Allahi la yastateeAAoona darbanfee al-ardi yahsabuhumu aljahilu aghniyaamina attaAAaffufi taAArifuhum biseemahum layas-aloona annasa ilhafan wamatunfiqoo min khayrin fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleem

1. لِلْفُقَرَآءِlil'fuqarāiFor the poor
2. ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
3. أُحْصِرُوا۟uḥ'ṣirūare wrapped up
4. فِىfīin
5. سَبِيلِsabīli(the) way
6. ٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allah
7. لَاlānot
8. يَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʿūnathey are able
9. ضَرْبًۭاḍarban(to) move about
10. فِىfīin
11. ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earth
12. يَحْسَبُهُمُyaḥsabuhumuThink (about) them
13. ٱلْجَاهِلُl-jāhiluthe ignorant one
14. أَغْنِيَآءَaghniyāa(that they are) self-sufficient
15. مِنَmina(because) of
16. ٱلتَّعَفُّفِl-taʿafufi(their) restraint
17. تَعْرِفُهُمtaʿrifuhumyou recognize them
18. بِسِيمَـٰهُمْbisīmāhumby their mark
19. لَاlāNot
20. يَسْـَٔلُونَyasalūna(do) they ask
21. ٱلنَّاسَl-nāsathe people
22. إِلْحَافًۭا ۗil'ḥāfanwith importunity
23. وَمَاwamāAnd whatever
24. تُنفِقُوا۟tunfiqūyou spend
25. مِنْminof
26. خَيْرٍۢkhayringood
27. فَإِنَّfa-innathen indeed
28. ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
29. بِهِۦbihiof it
30. عَلِيمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
