Meaning of Surah Al-An'am, Ayah 137

Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin minaalmushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohumliyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahuma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroon

1. وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd likewise

3. لِكَثِيرٍۢlikathīrinto many

5. ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَl-mush'rikīnathe polytheists
6. قَتْلَqatla(the) killing
7. أَوْلَـٰدِهِمْawlādihim(of) their children
8. شُرَكَآؤُهُمْshurakāuhumtheir partners
9. لِيُرْدُوهُمْliyur'dūhumso that they may ruin them
10. وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟waliyalbisūand that they make confusing
11. عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto them
12. دِينَهُمْ ۖdīnahumtheir religion
13. وَلَوْwalawAnd if
14. شَآءَshāa(had) willed
15. ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah
16. مَاmānot
17. فَعَلُوهُ ۖfaʿalūhu(would) they have done so
18. فَذَرْهُمْfadharhumSo leave them
19. وَمَاwamāand what
20. يَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnathey invent
