Wa-ith jaAAalna albayta mathabatanlinnasi waamnan wattakhithoo minmaqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidnaila ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela an tahhirabaytiya litta-ifeena walAAakifeenawarrukkaAAi assujood

1. وَإِذْwa-idhAnd when
2. جَعَلْنَاjaʿalnāWe made
3. ٱلْبَيْتَl-baytathe House
4. مَثَابَةًۭmathābatana place of return
5. لِّلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor mankind
6. وَأَمْنًۭاwa-amnanand (a place of) security
7. وَٱتَّخِذُوا۟wa-ittakhidhūand (said), "Take
8. مِنmin[from]
9. مَّقَامِmaqāmi(the) standing place
10. إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَib'rāhīma(of) Ibrahim
11. مُصَلًّۭى ۖmuṣallan(as) a place of prayer
12. وَعَهِدْنَآwaʿahid'nāAnd We made a covenant
13. إِلَىٰٓilāwith
14. إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَib'rāhīmaIbrahim
15. وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَwa-is'māʿīlaand Ishmael
16. أَنan[that]
17. طَهِّرَاṭahhirā[You both] purify
18. بَيْتِىَbaytiyaMy House
19. لِلطَّآئِفِينَlilṭṭāifīnafor those who circumambulate
20. وَٱلْعَـٰكِفِينَwal-ʿākifīnaand those who seclude themselves for devotion and prayer
21. وَٱلرُّكَّعِwal-rukaʿiand those who bow down
22. ٱلسُّجُودِl-sujūdiand those who prostrate
